Emily & Andrew's Wedding

Last Saturday, Emily and Andrew tied the knot in a gorgeous ceremony at the George Washington Masonic Monument in Alexandria, VA. The monument was the perfect backdrop for these love birds to celebrate their marriage with friends and family. I had the fabulous Vida Carson as my second shooter and we both agreed that our first wedding of 2010 couldn't have been any better! Congratulations Andrew and Emily! :)

Because Andrew is from the UK, there were a lot of family members and friends that could not make the trip to Washington DC. Emily put together a collection of video clips from Andrew's loved ones congratulating them and sharing words of support. It was my absolute favorite part of the night!

Andrew took Emily to the observation deck of the monument and had his brother light flares i the shape of a heart on the ground below. It was such a gorgeous view and a perfect way to end the night!

Super Senior Session

Yesterday I had the largest group session of high school seniors that I have ever photographed and had the most incredible time! With another fabulous wind advisory and temperatures that felt like 11 degrees, we took turns shooting and warming up around Annapolis coffee shops. This was the perfect shoot to start off with for 2010 and I'm excited to show you a small peek from their session! Enjoy!

I was extremely blessed to have my good friend Mia of Amelia Katz Photography come along to photograph the session! She capture this shot of me in action & I love it! Check out her blog post!

Welcome 2010

I want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year! :) There are so many wonderful things to look forward to in 2010. Natalie Franke Photography will be getting a new website (YAY!) that is expected to launch by the middle of this month. There will be new pricing going into effect as of the website's launch [this will not effect my senior & family sessions; wedding packages will see a change]. I will also be offering special opportunities and discounts to all members of the Natalie Franke Photography Facebook Group this year, so remember to join if you haven't already!

Also, I am currently opening an online store where you can purchase my art on canvas or in framed prints! I'll let you know when its up and running!

I hope everyone is having a great start to the new year and the new decade! :) May 2010 bring you hope, happiness, and joy.

Erica's Senior Session

Meet Erica: a beautiful college senior graduating with a business degree in May. Beginning this fall she plans to pursue her dreams of going to culinary school and starting her own business. Not only is she incredibly talented but incredibly photogenic (as you will see).

Mother nature decided to throw us one of the windiest days this year, but we didn't let it stop us! :) Regardless of the fact that we nearly froze to death and were dodging in and out of 40 mph gusts - this was an incredible session! Erica's spirit and laugh kept us going as we photographed around my favorite parts of Annapolis! Here are a few images from this morning.

Who knew you could get gorgeous golden light at 11am in December? Such a sweet surprise!

I love this picture! It captures the moment so perfectly.
It's not like we were going to let a few 40 mph wind gusts effect our day! :)
