Spring is Here!

I've always had this love for macro photography and I've been so overwhelmed with my portraits lately that I haven't had a real chance to go outside and get some beautiful pictures! Yesterday, the weather was perfect & with camera in hand - I ventured into my backyard. I really love days like that!

Off to shoot a wedding in Virginia today! Should be really fun! I'll be blogging it in the next few days! I hope everyone is doing well! I've been so incredibly busy with my portrait sessions, meeting with clients, and now with upcoming weddings! I'm having the best time & I'm looking forward to the end of the semester & the start of the summer too!

Baby Syrus

Two days ago I drove a few minutes down the road to photograph Julyea and Bobby's new bundle of joy, Syrus. At four months this little trouper was teething, but still managed to pose for the camera like a pro! I might be photographing him again later this spring when the weather gets nice! That will be great! Here are a few images from that session!

Maddie's 13th Birthday!

A few weeks ago Maddie booked me for a Friday afternoon in order to celebrate her 13th birthday in a more untraditional way -- round up a group of her eight best friends and have a photo shoot! These girls had so much energy & were such a blast to photograph! =) Here's a small taste from the session!

Trash the Dress Marathon Day!

It's finally time to announce my first ever "Trash the Dress Marathon Day" which will be comprised of mini sessions that can be used in any way to trash one of your favorite dresses. I have two dates reserved this summer, and already have four sessions pending so email me as soon as possible to reserve your session!

Date: Saturday, June 27th 2009

Location: Chesapeake Beach, MD

The Deal: A one hour long photo session, online ordering gallery, and access to the digital image files for $125 (two person max). Group sessions (3 or more people) are an hour and half long at a cost of $50 per person with the same benefits. I will taking a total of 4-5 sessions each day starting in the late afternoon and running through sunset!

What is trashing the dress?

Trashing the dress doesn't literally mean ruining a gown as the title would suggest. Instead it means creating something fabulous from a dress that you'll never wear again! And because that dress is most likely destined to a life wrapped in plastic, neglected in the back of your closet - why not get the most out of it? At these sessions you will jump in the water, lay in the sand, and be completely care free while looking your best!

What dress should I trash? Who should consider attending?

The most common trash the dress session is for brides who want to get the beautiful pictures that they couldn't risk taking on their wedding day! It also applies to high school juniors and seniors who want to get some prettier portraits from their prom dresses. But any woman should be able to find a dress and trash it - all it takes is a little creativity and a willingness to have a blast in front of the camera! These sessions aren't limited only to women -- couples can take full advantage of a flirty beach session too. Dance along the shore, lay side by side in the sand together, and have pictures of this unique session to last a lifetime.

New Business Cards!

From Hair Genius to Photography Model

Yesterday I had an awesome photo session with one of my best friends and favorite hair stylist, Krystal! We decided to turn this random road-side field into the perfect location for a photo session using a little imagination and a lot of laughter! Kristen & Scott's Wedding

Last Tuesday, on St. Patrick's Day, I had the opportunity to photograph Kristen and Scott's wedding in the courthouse chapel in downtown Annapolis, MD. Kristen looked absolutely stunning and we had such a fun time hiding her away from Scott before the ceremony. Thank you so much to the entire family for allowing me to document this special day! Congratulations and best of luck to Kristen and Scott as they begin their new life together!

Bridal Models at Liu Liu's Salon & Spa

Yesterday I spent the day at Liu Liu's Salon with the incredible makeup artist Christina Somensky from the Private Practice of Annapolis located on the second floor! The hairstylists prepped the girls with updo's and incorporated various bridal accessories leant to us from Bridal's by Elena in Severna Park! The models were excited and absolutely beautiful! Saying that we had fun would be an understatement! Enjoy all the pictures from the shoot!
