Roger that, We're going digital!

As announced a week or so ago - my pricing is changing slightly to make it easier for people to get everything they want in one simple session! Beginning today all portrait sessions include a disc with copies of the digital images. Before, this was an add on option & often caused confusion. Now - I'm stepping into the 21st century and giving digital images to every client that schedules with me.

Why give all clients digital images? Although the majority of photographers restrict access to the digital image files for portrait clients, I feel that as a society we are moving forward. Social networking, personal blogs, and the desire to have information at our finger tips calls for digital image access. It also gives my clients more flexibility by allowing them to print pictures with me or at any other photo lab of their choice. :) It's just simpler that way!

What goes into a session? Each session is so different and is catered directly to the client's needs. I dedicate on average about 10-15 hours of my time to each individual session. The break down of hours lies in: travel time to and from the session, the session itself, downloading the images to the computer, backing them up on two external hard drives, editing the images, uploading them to the online gallery, as well as burning, packaging, and mailing the customized discs. After all of that is said & done, I still need to blog, return emails, and go to college full time. Crazy, I know, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Upcoming Changes

I hope all of you noticed (and loved) the mini make-over to the Natalie Franke Photography Blog! I wanted to make the page more user friendly and hope that all of you enjoy it. Just an update for all of you! If you are thinking about booking a session for this summer or fall, schedule by April 1st to lock in the small $50 for digital image files. After April 1st, prices will increase to $75 for copies of the digital images in order for me to begin moving toward the main stream industry of photographers. *Please note: The majority of portrait photographers do not share the digital image files with their clients, but I have always found it to be one of the best parts about the photography experience. Especially in this electronic age, who doesn't want the opportunity to use your professionally taken pictures on your webpage, Facebook, or to print on your own? So book early to lock in the super low rates... After April 1st they will be increasing slightly.

Save on Your Next Session!

Hello Everyone!

My prices will be changing slightly with the launch of the new website. Schedule a future session between now and Thanksgiving to lock in the current rate & I'll put you on the calendar. You can book a session for any future date from now through November 2009. Just send me an email reply with a date for the future and the type of session you would like to schedule. If something comes up and the date you choose no longer works for you, let me know within two weeks of the date & we can reschedule! Simple as that!

Also, Seniors and Juniors who will be celebrating Prom this spring! I'll be running a Pre-Prom Special for $200 per party so please let me know now if you would like me to photograph you and your friends on your special day! Remember that many schools run proms on the same night and that there are a large number of groups per school that have a pre-parties so book early to reserve the date!

Here is something you may not know about me... I love old cameras! Love them. They are lined up all around my room thanks to my amazing uncle who gave most of them to me for my birthday! Here is one of the older Kodaks.
